Petrobras Formed Strategic Alliance to Boost Natural Gas Projects in the Americas

The company is committed to creating new employment opportunities in the Brazilian maritime, gas and power industries.

SEATTLE (Oil Monster): Petrobras and Karpowership have signed a Memorandum of Intent (MoI) to boost integrated natural gas projects in the Americas. The partnership will combine the respective expertise in the natural gas and power sectors.

Beyza Ozdemir, Regional Director of Commercial Operations for South America at Karpowership noted that the company plans to make further investments in the upcoming years in renewable energy projects as well as various green technology initiatives. The company is committed to creating new employment opportunities in the Brazilian maritime, gas and power industries.

Ozdemir stated that the agreement with Petrobras will reinforce the company’s long term commitment to Brazil. The two companies will work together on new business strategies. The partnership will expand their offerings to the Brazilian society and the Americas, he added. It must be noted that Karpowership has developed the world's fastest LNG-to-power project in the country, in addition to operating two solar energy generation projects in the State of Rio de Janeiro.

Karpowership had launched its first LNG-to-power project in Indonesia in 2020. In September last year, it had signed a MoU with Argentina-based Galileo Technologies. Later in December 2023, it had joined hands with Pertamina International Shipping towards developing LNG infrastructure.
