Catator was founded in 1990 by a group of researchers at Lund University in Sweden. It quickly became a high-tech company in the field of catalysis and customized catalytic process design.

Our mission is to become a key supplier worldwide of high quality catalytic products for efficient energy supply. Examples are zero emission burners for heat production, fuel processor components to fuel cell systems and excellent catalysts for emission reduction.

Staff

Catator’s staff consists of highly qualified personnel, most with doctoral degree. The people who lead our research hold doctorates in chemical engineering. Our lab team-members are well educated in chemistry, technology and mechanical engineering. All of us strive to combine technological competence with responsiveness to customer-needs and commitment to our mission.

Facilities

Catator’s head office is located in Lund in southern Sweden. It features fully equipped research and testing labs. Our facilities are well matched to our business, and besides offices and conference facilities, they include well-equipped research and testing labs that contain appropriate analysis equipment such as IR, chemiluminescence, GC, GCMS, electrochemical devices, FID-instrumentation and various testing rigs. Starting from pioneering ideas for technical solutions, we use computerized tools to add knowledge about design and dimension.

To assure catalyst quality, and to be able to pinpoint and analyze deactivation phenomena, we have extensive characterization equipment that includes instrumentation for physisorption, chemisorption and chemical analysis.

Our production facility is located in Reftele, 200 km north of the head office. It is operated under ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001 certifications.
