SunGift Solar was founded in 2005 by Gabriel Wondrausch and quickly flourished into a regional leader in renewable technology, both in reputation and in expertise. To further solidify our position we were amongst the first in the UK to receive accreditation under the Government's Microgeneration Scheme and are currently one of the only companies in the UK to hold this certification for 5 different renewable technologies.

We are proud to offer free, friendly and professional advice for both domestic and commercial customers. Ourno-obligation surveys and design proposals are conducted to the highest possible standards. Our highly technical surveyors consolidate all of the relevant information from your property to then go away to work out the figures. 

We are based in Exeter, Devon and carry out work throughout the South West (including Devon, Cornwall and Dorset), as well as the rest of the UK.

SunGift Energy is an experienced and award winning renewable energy company based in Devon. We have installed well over 2,000 renewable energy systems since we were founded in 2005 and installed over 3.2MW of renewable energy in 2013. We offer a wholly comprehensive renewable energy service, from options appraisal and system design through to installation, maintenance and servicing.

We design and install a wide range of different renewable energy technologies, including solar photovoltaics (PV), solar thermal, air source, ground source and water source heat pumps, biomass and wind power. We have designed and installed renewable energy systems for a wide range of commercial clients including on new build and retrofit properties in both urban and rural settings.

We have been voted the South West Green Energy Awards Renewable Energy Installer of the Year twice in the last five years, and have been finalists the other two years – the only installer to have been a finalist in every one of the past five years. The awards are organised by Regen SW, the independent sustainable energy agency for the region. We are also the highest ranked renewable energy installer on the independent website www.yougen.co.uk, which ranks companies based on customer feedback.

Our accreditations include the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), the REAL Assurance Scheme and Devon Trading Standards’ Buy With Confidence Scheme, as well as being members of industry bodies such as Regen SW and the Solar Trade Association (STA).

THE ADVANTAGES OF SOLAR PANELS

Solar PV panels harness the energy from the sun to generate electricity. Having been developed over 50 years, it is a well tried and tested technology. Solar PV also has few moving parts, meaning that systems require minimal maintenance and are extremely reliable. Although more electricity is produced on sunny days, panels work well on overcast days too and so solar PV is well-suited to our climate. Solar PV is suited to both domestic and commercial sites, as systems remain cost effective through a very wide range of sizes.
