Contaminated Land

Development sites are frequently impacted by previous land-use, including potential spillages and leaking storage tanks.

Dealing with historic contamination is entirely possible, not necessarily time-intensive, and does not need to make your project financially unviable.

The Abricon team combine technical expertise with a strong regulatory background, and have extensive experience, both within the UK and on overseas projects. We will offer a completely tailored solution to your contaminated land problems.

Specialist Skills and Capabilities

We have the skills and knowledge to deal with a wide range of contaminants, from heavy metals through to petroleum / diesel products and solvents.

We have extensive experience of dealing with disused filling stations and dealing with ground impacted by above or underground storage tanks. In addition to providing site investigation services and options for cleaning up these sites, we can project manage and provide a watching brief where decommissioning of these sites is required.

We approach contaminated land in a risk based manner. This means that we propose solutions based on the actual risk posed to site users and the wider remedial strategy. This is achieved by our skills in risk assessment and our substantial experience in liaising with the regulators such as the Environment Agency and Local Authority Environmental Health Officers.
