APR Energy became an independent company in March 2004, when co-founders John Campion and Laurence Anderson bought the ALSTOM Power Rentals division from ALSTOM Power. Campion and Anderson continued to operate with a licensing agreement under the ALSTOM brand until June 2008, when it was rebranded as APR Energy. In June of 2011, Horizon Acquisition Company acquired APR Energy, subsequently changing its name to APR Energy, plc, and in September 2011 re-listed the new entity on the London Stock Exchange.
APR Energy offers one of the newest and most trusted fleets in the industry, including mobile gas turbines, and reciprocating-engine diesel and natural gas power modules. Our leading-edge, "smart" technology offers the latest advancements in reliability, fuel efficiency, and emissions control, while providing remote automation and monitoring capabilities, and automatic reactive power control for voltage support and grid stability.
APR Energy combines leading-edge technology with fast-track installation, around-the-clock service and maintenance, and flexible plant design, to provide our customers with customized, turnkey solutions to meet their specific requirements. Our power plants can scale up to more than 300MW, and utilize the latest technologies in mobile gas turbines, diesel reciprocating-engine generators, and natural gas reciprocating-engine generators.
APR Energy provides all engineering, logistics, installation, operation and maintenance services for each project through our comprehensive turnkey approach. Customers are able to quickly benefit from reliable power without waiting for the up-front capital investment needed for permanent facilities.
From the design, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of temporary power solutions to their eventual decommissioning, our highly-trained engineers and support staff stationed across the globe provide our clients with around the clock reliable service and uninterrupted power capacity. Depending on the specific requirements of each project, we offer a flexible range of configurations based on fuel and technology requirements, as well as the proven ability to re-deploy our assets upon completion of contracts.
The power generation technologies are all based on rapidly deployable modular designs and are engineered for diesel, natural gas, or dual-fuel operation. The full turnkey approach also includes step up MV or HV transformers to deliver electricity in accordance with the customer’s specific requirements.
