As a team of skilled and experienced biologists, our mission is to provide high quality and cost effective natural environment consulting services to our clients in Ontario and across Canada. From feasibility studies, characterization and management plans; from Species At Risk screenings to environmental assessments to post-construction monitoring, we provide leading edge input and support to all types and phases of projects.
Our team has provided input and completed studies ranging in size and scope from small road extensions to lengthy hydroelectric transmission corridors across Ontario.
The NRSI team provides services ranging from Environmental Assessments to peer reviews of technical documents. Staff work closely with First Nation communities to ensure that significant natural features, including those of cultural significance, are appropriately protected.
NRSI is a leader in Renewable Energy Assessments in Ontario. We routinely assess the feasibility and impact of wind, biogas, solar and hydroelectric projects based on natural features, Species at Risk and wildlife habitats that may be present within the proposed project area.

As a result of this acquisition NRSI now adds additional services working with freshwater mussels and benthic invertebrates with Dr. Gerry Mackie contributing his tremendous expertise working with freshwater mussels.
