Wind Dynamics Inc. is a 100% Atlantic Canadian owned and operated renewable energy development company. The company’s principals are life-long residents of Atlantic Canada, who naturally have extensive knowledge of the area.

What is wind energy?

Modern wind turbine generators harness the power that is available in the wind and convert this power into electricity.  The wind turns the blades that are connected to a shaft.  The shaft is connected to a gearbox to increase the speed of the slow turning shaft.

The output shaft of the transmission is connected to a generator.  The electricity that is generated is fed through a transformer to increase its voltage, and is then connected to the grid.  The grid distributes the electricity to wherever it is needed.

Do we have enough wind?

In Canada we probably have more wind than we could ever use.  Currently wind turbine generators in Canada produce enough electricity to power about 1.6 million Canadian homes.  Studies have indicated that we could be powering 17 million Canadian homes with wind power, so we have lots of room to grow.

Why should we use wind power?

Wind power is a clean, renewable resource and does not contribute to climate change.
The cost of windpower is very stable due to the non-inflationary aspect of the “fuel”.
Wind is free and we have an endless supply. Why not use it?
