GSM Oilfield Services Inc. is an internationally recognized firm of registered consulting petroleum engineers, and is quite possibly the oldest operationally oriented consulting firm in the United States. Since its organization in 1976, GSM has amassed experience in oil fields throughout the world. GSM provides on-site consulting services during drilling and completion operations and engineering and management in pressure control and relief well operations.You may recognize the name Grace, Shursen, Moore & Associates, Inc. which was established in 1976. The company was sold to employees in 2014 and now operates under the name of GSM Oilfield Services Inc. (GSM) providing engineering, operations, staffing and training services. Services offered by GSM encompass all phases of petroleum engineering and consulting. GSM has been involved in special projects at the request of governmental agencies as well as private industry. Our people have been asked to assist in incidents that have shaped the oil and gas industry.GSM people are relied upon for objective expertise in solving some of the most challenging situations. GSM people were advisors during the Macondo incident, the most catastrophic event in the USA Gulf of Mexico, from the beginning of the blowout until it was brought under control. Additionally, Robert D. Grace was selected as Fire Fighting and Wild Well Control Coordinator for the second largest field in the world (Burgan Field) when it was destroyed during the invasion by Iraq into Kuwait. Hundreds of wells were brought under control in record time. Our people have been involved in planning successful solutions to underground blowouts and mitigating some of the most significant environmental disasters in the world. People at GSM have been credited with applying effective and efficient solutions while serving in Taiwan, Trinidad and Tobago, North Africa, New Zealand, North America, Vietnam and Russia. GSM is best known for its reputation in deep drilling and completion practices, wild well control, and oil & gas well firefighting and has expanded its services to include reservoir engineering, geological evaluations, environmental assessments, expert witness testimony, project feasibility research, and design and permitting of injection/disposal wells.
