Brad Lanier Oil Company

For over 50 years, Brad Lanier Oil Co., Inc. has been a leader in the motor fuel distribution business. Our family-owned operation has grown to be one of the largest independent motor fuel companies in South Georgia. What started as a “tire sales and tune up,” type business has evolved into a well-respected distributor of gasolines and diesel fuels. As the industry progressed, so did our business. “BLOC,” continued its growth by opening its convenience store chain dubbed “Homerun Foods.” Over the years Homerun Foods has expanded from one service station to nine retail locations and a self-serve station in Albany and Leesburg, Ga. All locations are employed with accommodating staffs that are hand selected by our management team.

Lanier Oil Company has maintained the same desire to provide courteous and efficient service to our valued customers since day one. Whether you are stopping by one of our retail locations for a quick snack, or ordering large quantities of fuel, we want your experience with us to be one that is second to none. Through three generations, BLOC has built its foundation through its customer service and strives to keep that same reputation for generations to come!

Our History
Bradwell LanierJ.B. “Brad” Lanier IIs passion was flying. Starting at an early age, Lanier completed his first solo flight at the age of 12. With nearly a decade of flight experience, 21 year old Lanier was one of the youngest fighter pilot instructors in United States Air Force history. Following a storied aeronautical service, Brad yearned for more excitement. Being a father of five, Lanier dismissed the option to fly commercially and started Brad Lanier Oil Co., Inc. in April of 1965. New to the business, Brad hired BLOCs first employee and loyal friend Hans D. Pomeroy. Through hard work and determination, Lanier and Pomeroy grew the business from one truck and two employees, to a player in the markets by the early 1970s.

Following Laniers untimely death in 1988, Lanier Oil Company continued its success under the leadership of Mr. Pomeroy and Brads son J.B. Jeff Lanier III. Today BLOC continues to lead the wholesale and retail industry with the “deep rooted” values Brad Lanier established in the very beginning.
