Countywide Petroleum Company

Countywide Petroleum Company began its business with one car wash, thereafter expanding to five car washes and six retail convenience stores/gas stations. It was during this time that Countywide Petroleum learned the intricacies and difficulties of operating a gas station and convenience store.  In 2004, Countywide Petroleum entered into the role of distributor by acquiring a motor fuels division and becoming a wholesaler for BP, Citgo and Gulf Oil. In subsequent years, Countywide Petroleum developed and/or acquired numerous facilities in and around the Metropolitan Pittsburgh area, became a branded distributor for Valero and Sunoco, and expanded its customer base in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Maryland. Countywide Petroleum has continued its growth with the merger with Countywide Petroleum Co., based in North Royalton, Ohio. Through the merger, Countywide Petroleum has added the Clark, Exxon, and Marathon brands to its product line and added growth to the Valero and Sunoco brands. The merger has resulted in a stronger company with a broader reach, more influence, and a continued desire to give its dealers all the material, intellectual and responsive support they need. Despite its growth, Countywide Petroleum uses the experience and lessons learned from operating gas stations and convenience stores to understand and appreciate the difficulties facing operators in today’s world, all in its effort to provide value added service to each of its customers.
