Volta Oil’s history began in 1930, when Harold S. Volta opened a Texaco gasoline station. Over the years, Volta became a multi-product petroleum distributor – wholesaling and retailing gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation fuel, home heating and industrial oils, kerosene, and L.P. gas.Today, Volta wholesales and retails gasoline and diesel fuel under six major brands (Shell, Exxon, Mobil, Sunoco, Gulf and CITGO) and its own Rapid Refill brand through terminals in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Connecticut. Fifteen Rapid Refill convenience stores are in operation in Massachusetts and New Hampshire , some of which include other national brands like Dunkin Donuts, Burger King, and Subway. Volta services hundreds of customers throughout New England, including convenience stores, traditional service stations, marinas and commercial and industrial customers.
