History

Proulx Oil & Propane was originally established in 1944 by Joseph A. Proulx in Epping, New Hampshire. The original office was located where the current Epping Burger King has been built.  Maurice J. Proulx, Josephs son, worked in the family business for his father and continued the family heritage in the heating business. He ultimately carried on the Proulx name in the Seacoast area of New Hampshire.  In 1985, Maurice established a foothold in Newmarket, New Hampshire. In 1987, he was joined by four of his six sons and one daughter in the same location, still in operation today. In 1996, due to increased customer demand, Proulx added propane gas and related products to the mix.  Today, Proulx Oil & Propane operates three physical locations with numerous local call forwarded telephone exchanges for the convenience of our customers. With over forty-five full and part-time employees and the most modern fleet of any company in the area, the Proulx name continues to be synonymous with the heating industry as it has for the past 74 years. Propane

We deliver quality propane for use in your home or business. We keep you warm in the coldest of winters, provide gas to cook your meals and keep your business expenses in check with our dependable service. Proulx Oil & Propane has roughly 7 different propane supply points that we get product from including locations in and outside of New England. We monitor all of our supply points and are in contact with all of our suppliers on a daily basis, to make sure we get what we need for our customers. Proulx has been in business for 74 years and has developed relationships with suppliers from near and far. We continue to bring supply in where and when needed so our customers are always well taken care of.

Oil

For residential use, Proulx delivers Heatforce® Cleaner & Greener heating oil. Heatforce® is a fuel treatment additive that is specifically designed to maintain the integrity and quality of home heating oil, which helps promotes a healthier heating system while reducing unscheduled fuel related service calls.  Proulx also offers Bioheat® which provides a cleaner, more complete and energy efficient burn. It is a renewable energy source that reduces global warming gas emissions; it is also non-toxic, biodegradable, and suitable for sensitive environments. It actually extends equipment life and reduces periodic maintenance intervals. Bioheat® is made domestically from agricultural or recycled resources, reducing Americas dependence on foreign oil and creating jobs here at home.

Autogas is a term we use to describe propane being used in automobile transportation. It is the same exact propane gas we deliver to heat your home and hot water, cook your food, dry your clothes, and many other convenient applications where propane is cleaner and greener (in many ways) than the other fuel options available and in use. Propane is MUCH less expensive and has a greener carbon footprint too!
