Clark Gas & Oil is a regional value-added distributor of Exxon branded home heating fuels including oil heat, propane gas, and appliances. Our operations are concentrated in the southwestern Virginia counties of Patrick, Floyd, Carroll, and Montgomery County, and the northern part of Stokes County, NC.

• We run regular computer assisted scheduled deliveries. Clark Gas & Oil tracks degree days for heating account and Julian routing for non-heating usage such as restaurants, laundromats and generators.
• We are commited to continous training. All of our employees, not just the installation/service technicians and delivery drivers, receive ongoing training. Our employees complete the National Propane Gas Association (CETP) (Certified Employee Training Program).
• Were proud to have numerous employees that are NFI (National Fireplace Institute) certified. Every year during slower times in the summer season, Clark Gas & oil invests over $6,000 in our staff to be more educated about the latest industry developments, trends, and better ways to serve our customers.
• We leave you a propane gas or fuel oil ticket after delivering your fuel (unless alternative directions have been given) that clearly communicate our price, NO hidden fees.
• We have metered fill stations for propane and diesel fuels and other commerical services available.
• We offer tank monitors. These monitors email you with crucial information like storage tank levels, power outages, generator errors, and inside extreme temperatures.
• Clark Gas & Oil offers montly or seasonal rentals of temporoary constustruction or tent heaters.

Automatic Delivery

With Automatic Delivery we will monitor your fuel usage and keep heating fuel in your tank so you dont have to worry about running out of fuel on a cold winters night. Automatic Deliveries are calculated by taking your tank capacity, your burning rate and outside temperature into consideration.  Please contact our office if you make a significant change in your fuel consumption such as prolonged family stay, addition to home, or if you spend the winter away from home. These facts will allow us to adjust your schedule accordingly.

Out of Gas

Special safety procedures are standard policy when Clark Gas & Oil gas representatives fill an out-of-gas or empty propane tank:

• Someone must be home when an empty tank is filled. Qualified personnel must perform a brief leak test of the gas system, re-light the pilot lights and see that the gas applicances are working properly.
• If the tank has been empty for a period of time, the gas system and tank must be pressure checked and safety inspected.
