Ampak Oil Company (a Texas Corporation) is an independent oil and gas producer. Modern technology has unlocked oil reserves that were not possible to produce years ago. Techniques such as horizontal drilling have made it possible to develop many U.S. shale formations.

Ampak Oil Company has been a licensed oil and gas operator in the state of Texas (Operator #020463) since its founding in 1988. During the last 27 years, Ampak Oil has drilled, acquired, or participated in wells in many areas around the state. Wells in the Permian Basin, the Bend Arch, South Texas, the Hardeman Basin in North Texas, and along the Texas Gulf Coast have resulted in production that has exceeded 1 million barrels of oil to date. That number continues to increase as new successful wells are completed. Concentrating on areas with a prolific production history has allowed the company to drill relatively conservative drilling opportunities which have a higher probability of success. The company’s current main areas of focus include South Texas and the Permian Basin.

• Spud – The starting phase of drilling the vertical portion of well using conventional methods.

• Kickoff – By using downhole instruments you are able to start building the curve to allow for horizontal drilling.

• Drill Horizontal – using MWD real live data allows for geosteering to achieve correct positioning of wells based on their geologic features.

• Casing – Case off the lateral leg with steel casing to allow fracking and necessary completion to begin production operations.
