Coastal Energy is not your typical small residential oil company. We are a family owned and operated business that not only provides residential home heating products and service for your heating systems, but we have a service department that can meet all of your plumbing, air conditioning, geothermal and home automation needs. Coastal Energy is also home to the first commercial enzymatic transesterification biofuel processing facility in North America!  Helping our community become more sustainable and less dependent on foreign oil is our mission. We take pride in the fact that we are a small locally owned company and strive to continue to offer quality products, services, and customer satisfaction.

Biofuel

coastalenergy-biofuellogo_1-15-16  Coastal Energy Biofuel is the first commercial Enzymatic Transesterification Processing facility in North America. What does this mean? It means that we use enzymes instead of chemicals to create our biofuel. This leads to a cleaner bi-product, minimal to no wastewater or chemical discharge and low energy requirement to produce liquid biofuels.

Service

Coastal Energy’s service department’s mission is to provide our customers with professional, prompt service twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. With offices in Northeast Harbor, Ellsworth and Bucksport, we strive to be there when you need us the most.  Coastal Energy’s service technicians are highly trained and can perform a wide array of services such as annual system tune-ups and new installations. All of our technicians are fully licensed to work on a variety of system to meet our customers growing needs.
