South Jersey Gas delivers safe, reliable, affordable natural gas and promotes energy efficiency to approximately 385,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in the seven southernmost counties of New Jersey. We help our customers warm their homes or businesses, dry their clothes, heat their water and cook their meals.  We are proud to have provided natural gas service for over 100 years. Our service area covers over 2,500 square miles with 113 municipalities – thats one third of the geographic area of New Jersey.  This area includes all of Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and Salem counties and parts of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties.  South Jersey Gas corporate headquarters is in Folsom, New Jersey, with divisional offices in Pleasantville, Glassboro, Swainton and Millville. The company also operates a satellite office in Waterford Works and a liquefied natural gas facility in McKee City.    

New Service Installation

Tracker South Jersey Gas wants to keep you up-to-date on the progress of your natural gas service request with our New Service Installation Tracker. This tool helps new customers track the status of their installation, allowing them to check where they are in the process at any time. To access your status, please enter your tracking # (found in your first 'South Jersey Gas installation' email) and the last four digits of the phone number on your account.

Get Natural Gas in Your Neighborhood

To bring natural gas to your home, well need to find out if there are natural gas pipelines near your property. You can do this at our Availability & Apply page.   There are two possible situations when having natural gas extended to a residence: 

• Pipelines are nearby and you will need to work with South Jersey Gas to install gas service and an HVAC contractor to install natural gas appliances.
• Pipelines are not nearby and South Jersey Gas will work with you to extend natural gas pipelines to your area. If this is your situation, you are in the right place! 

Developing An Extension Project

As there are many factors that must be taken into consideration for an extension project, the South Jersey Gas sales team takes a customized approach to each neighborhood or street that is currently unserved by natural gas.
