The global fleet of SureSource™ power plants spans three continents and is leading the industry with millions of megawatts of ultra-clean power produced. Utilizing state-of-the-art fuel cells, our SureSource plants provide environmentally responsible solutions for various applications such as utility-scale and on-site power generation, carbon capture, local hydrogen production for both transportation and industry, and long duration energy storage.  Our systems are catered to meet the needs of customers across several industries, including utility companies, municipalities, universities, government entities and a variety of industrial and commercial enterprises.  We leverage our core capabilities by forging strategic relationships with carefully selected business partners that bring power generation experience, financial resources, and market access.  We offer financing structures that enable power users to benefit from the multitude of advantages of clean onsite power while avoiding an up-front capital investment. Utilizing long-term power purchase agreements (PPA) or lease structures, the end-user of the power hosts the installation and only pays for power as it is delivered.  Our corporate office, which includes the research & development department and the Global Monitoring and Control Center, is located in Danbury, Connecticut. North American manufacturing is located in Torrington, Connecticut. Asian manufacturing is located in Pohang, South Korea via our manufacturing licensee, POSCO Energy, the largest independent power producer in South Korea. European manufacturing is located in Taufkirchen, Germany.

State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Facilities & Processes

FuelCell Energy utilizes proprietary designs and processes along with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment to produce the fuel cell components that are the heart of our power plants. In North America, manufacturing is located in Torrington, Connecticut, USA and the facility currently has the annual capacity of 100 megawatts. The facility completed the first of a two-phase expansion, with the first phase expanding the building. When the second phase is undertaken to add manufacturing equipment, annual capacity will be doubled to 200 megawatts. The production line is configured for continuous flow and continual improvement is a core aspect of the production process. The company’s quality management system is ISO 9001:2015 certified.

We provide complete support to each of our valued customers for the life cycle of the product. We stand by each SureSource system in the field, and embrace a customer-focused and customer-driven culture.  We offer a broad range of services that can be matched to the specific needs of the fuel cell project with comprehensive service agreements up to 20 years in duration. SureSource Capital 

SureSource Capital offers a vertically integrated project finance suite of solutions to enable fuel cell deployment and operation. These solutions include Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), leases (capital, operating, and tax), construction financing and a variety of term debt structures. Our extensive project finance experience allows us to implement market leading financial structures tailored to meet the unique and diverse needs of our customers. By sourcing competitive capital, SureSource Capital is able to greatly enhance our end-users’ economic value proposition while supporting sustainability and energy resiliency goals.
