James Richardson and Gary Guagenti opened Affordable Fuels of Colorado in 2014 to meet the propane needs of business, residential and farm customers in the Southern Colorado area. Having noted the pricing policies and service limitations of other companies in the area, they saw the need for a customer-friendly liquid propane fuel company in Southern Colorado. Affordable Fuels offers Colorado residents complete control over their propane purchases by providing a simple pricing policy and giving home and business owners the ability to own their propane tanks.

Gary Guagenti

An active member of Colorados bustling rodeo community, Gary Guagenti co-founded Affordable Fuels with Richardson in 2014. After 27 years of owning and operating an Anheuser-Busch Distributorship in Ohio, Guagenti joined with Richardson to meet the propane needs of Colorado Springs farm, business and residential customers.  Guagenti is an avid outdoorsman, regular livestock buyer, supporter of the County fair and a 3rd year Guest of the Pikes Peak Range Riders. In addition, Guagenti is the proud father to a Pikes Peak Rangerette and an active Board Member of the Pikes Peak Range Rider Foundation.

Air Force veteran James Richardson moved to Colorado from Ohio following six years of military service. A proud and active supporter of our local military, Richardson and Affordable Fuels are supporters of the Wounded Warrior Project, and regularly donate portions of their proceeds to the cause.

Buy or Lease a Propane Tank

Affordable Fuels both sells and leases 250 gallon, 500 gallon, and 1000 gallon size tanks.  If you are interested in purchasing or leasing a tank please contact our office for pricing and details.  When you lease a tank you save because there is no large upfront expense and maintenance of the tank is done by us.Our staff will be happy to discuss your options and help you make your decision with confidence.
