Allgas, Inc. was founded on the principle of providing the best possible product with prompt, courteous service. And since 1956, we have worked hard to reach that goal for each and every customer.   Allgas and its subsidiaries deliver liquefied petroleum gas (LPG or propane) in transport or bobtail quantities to retail and commercial customers in rural and urban areas throughout the mid-South. With 115 specialized bobtail trucks, 28 offices and over 70 satellite bulk storage facilities, the Allgas family of companies is capable of serving new suburban residential and commercial growth.

Safety is very important to us not only from the standpoint of our employees but most importantly, our customers. Safety is our first priority. Lampton-Love, Inc., Group of Affiliated Companies strictly monitors the training of our employees so that we may serve you with certified personnel to provide you with service that reflects safety. Safety and service go hand in hand. All of our employees participate in the National Propane Gas Associations Certified Employee Training Program and all of our drivers attend National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course training for Professional Truck Drivers.  Our well trained service staff is committed to providing you, our customer, with current and accurate safety-related information for the well being of you and your loved ones. We truly care that you stay informed of topics pertaining to our industry, such as propane safety, appliance safety as well as updates on new appliances and equipment as it enters the marketplace.  Our employees are constantly updated with safety policies and procedures that aid us in providing the safest and most reliable service available. We strive to understand the importance of documentation and adherence to federal and state rules and regulations. The propane industry has developed numerous methods to make the transport and use of propane safe:

• Propane equipment and appliances are manufactured to rigorous safety standards.
• Propane has a narrow range of flammability when compared with other petroleum products. In order to ignite, the propane/air mix must contain from 2.2 to 9.6 percent propane vapor. If the mixture contains less than 2.2 percent gas, it is too lean to burn. If it contains more than 9.6 percent, it is too rich to burn.
• Propane wont ignite when combined with air unless the source of ignition reaches at least 940 degrees Fahrenheit. In contrast, gasoline will ignite when the source of ignition reaches only 430 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
• If liquid propane leaks, it doesnt puddle but instead vaporizes and dissipates into the air.
• Because it is released from a pressured container as a vapor, propane cant be ingested like gasoline or alcohol fuels.
• Because propane is virtually odorless and colorless in its natural state, a commercial odorant is added so propane can be detected if it leaks from its container.
