Hoyts Fuel Service has been in the customer service business since 1972. We are a family owned company now in our second generation. We are Located in Shickshinny Pennsylvania. Living in beautiful Northeast PA (NEPA), we understand the fuel requirements for all four seasons. Hoyts offers a diverse array of products to meet the energy needs of our customers. Products

• #2 Heating Oil is our most popular product for heating oil and is the standard fuel for most oil heating systems. #2 Heating Oil is not subject to such a stringent refinement process as Kerosene, therefore it is suitable for storage tanks that are located indoors or sheltered from the elements, because if stored outside it will gel in colder temperatures. #2 Heating Oil produces more BTUs than Kerosene and is a cheaper option per gallon.
• Kerosene is the cleanest heating fuel that we provide. The quality of the fuel is derived from the refinement process in which impurities are removed. Due to this refinement process, Kerosene is superb for tanks that are free-standing outside or in a area where the tank is exposed to the elements because it resists gelling (a state when the fuel becomes so cold that it turns thick and therefore hard to pass through plumbing). Kerosene fuel produces fewer BTUs than #2 Heating Oil.
• Blended Heating Fuel is an alternative to straight Kerosene in circumstances where the storage tank is not indoors or completely sheltered from the elements, but also is not completely protected from slightly cold temperatures. Blended Heating Fuel is a mix of 50% Kerosene and 50% #2 Heating Oil. This mixture of fuels produces a variation of heating oil that is a cross between the two that can withstand slightly cooler temperatures. 

AUTOMATIC DELIVERY 

  Hoyts offers automatic delivery to those who qualify. If you are approved for a credit or budget account, you can set up automatic delivery of fuel at your address. Most of our residential customers receive their fuel supply through an automatic delivery system. These deliveries are scheduled through computer technology, based upon each customers historical consumption patterns and prevailing weather conditions. You never need to worry about ordering fuel or running out of oil with automatic delivery!

WILL CALL DELIVERY 

  A will call, this is for customers who wish to choose their own delivery times and amounts. The customer is responsible for ordering their fuel, and for monitoring their fuel levels. Hoyts is NOT responsible in the event that a Will-Call customer runs out of oil, and will charge a fee if an after-hours, same-day, or weekend delivery is needed. Should an emergency delivery fee be assessed, however, we will NOT charge the customer an additional fee to re-start the furnace at the time of delivery if needed.
