The Anderson Fuel Story 

The year was 1946 when Arthur Anderson returned home from the war in the Pacific with a dream. He transitioned his fathers wood and coal business to become part of the oil heat boom that continues today. Starting from his family home with one truck and determination, he built his business treating all with honesty and respect, earning the loyalty of customers and employees alike. His first two Anderson Fuel employees remained for more than forty years, and customer relationships quickly grew and now span generations.  Today, owners Gary and Scott Anderson each have forty-five years of experience and sons guiding the business into its third generation. Long-time employees—some following in the footsteps of parents—continue to occupy key positions of responsibility to ensure the continued high levels of service our customers have come to expect.

The one-stop solution for all your heating and cooling needs. Our team includes ten full-time Massachusetts-certified oil heat and air conditioning technicians. We install and service the leading brands of oil-heat boilers and furnaces, central air conditioning systems, and ductless air systems on the market. Each year, we install and maintain more heating and cooling systems than any other similar sized providers in our immediate and surrounding service areas.

On-Site Fuel Supply

Our state-of-the-art and fully secure fuel oil storage facility with 100,000 gallons on-site storage capacity guarantees on-time deliveries and emergency response under any demand. No other provider in our area can match our supply. To improve the quality of our fuel, we add HeatDoc — a unique blended additive — for cleaner burning and higher efficiencies with reduced corrosion to parts and equipment.

Modern Tanker Fleet

Our fleet of clean, modern fuel tanker trucks completes more than 120 deliveries per day and 700 deliveries per week during peak heating season. Every truck is piloted by a professional CDL driver, and maintained in pristine condition by full-time Anderson mechanics at our facility garage.

• In 2018 Massachusetts mandated that the sulfur content of all number-2 heating oil sold in the state be reduced from 500ppm to 15ppm. The transition to ultra-low sulfur heating oil (ULSHO) means a cleaner, safer environment for all. Anderson Fuel actively supported this change and continues to push toward promoting cleaner burning fuels, such as higher blends of Biofuel. We are proud to be an industry leader committed to creating a healthier environment for our children and grandchildren.
• In addition to leading the way on ultra-low sulfur content, the heating oil we sell today contains up to 5% renewable biofuel sourced from waste soybean oil and used cooking oil. And we make our premium home heating oil even better by treating it with HeatDoc, a state-of-the-art additive recognized as the gold standard for cleaner burning fuel and corrosion protection for your entire fuel delivery system.

Gas System Services

  At this time, Anderson Fuel does not install gas heat systems or water heaters, and we do not sell natural gas or propane.We DO offer expert maintenance and repair services for all major brands of gas heat systems. We field a team of ten Massachusetts certified heating and cooling technicians, backed by a fleet of service vehicles and an on-site inventory of critical parts.

We can meet all your heating system needs from burners and boilers to distribution systems to oil storage tanks. We recommend and install the most reliable tanks in the industry. Oil Water Heaters

• Oil heat is the most efficient way to heat hot water and Anderson Fuel offers a range of options for any home or business need!

• Indirect tanks use a homes space heating system to heat the water. These water heaters work in conjunction with a boiler to heat the water thats circulated through the heat exchanger in the storage tank.

• Direct oil-fired water heaters are standalone units ideal for larger homes, generating over 50% more hot water than water heaters of similar size, and offering larger standard storage capacities than other hot water systems.
