What is EFV?

Excess Flow Valves (EFV) are safety devices installed on natural gas distribution  lines to reduce the risk of accidents caused by excessive gas flow.  EFVs can  reduce the risks of accidents by shutting off unplanned excessive flows that occur  primarily from excavation damage to service lines located between the gas main and  the customers building.  If you are interested in having an EFV installed on your  natural gas service line please contact our office for costs & details.  256.974.9023

Wheeler Basin Natural Gas Company, a wholly owned  subsidiary of Joe Wheeler EMC, incorporated in May of  1994 as an Alabama corporation and is registered as a  public utility company subject to the regulatory authority of the  Alabama Public Service Commission.

Our Standard Tap Fee of $600.00 includes:

• 300 FT. Service line installed
• Meter Set
• Gas turn on - (subject to inspection)
• Credits available for either/or Natural Gas water heater or 
• Natural Gas primary heat
• Footage over 300 FT is billed @ $ .00 a foot.
