Founded in 1939 by Vincenzo Cortese, our family has been serving the energy needs of our customers in the Fairfield, Connecticut and Westchester, New York areas. Primarily established as “Cortese Fuel Co.,” we started with fuel oil delivery for the heating needs of our customers. In 1952, Dimetrio Cortese incorporated the company and changed the name to “New England Oil.”
Family Owned and Operated
After 79 years of servicing our community, the Cortese family continues to expand New England Oil Company. Today, we have grown to offer an array of energy services, including oil and diesel delivery, propane services, HVAC installation and maintenance and home energy audits and insulation. In 2013, the company name changed again to New England Total Energy to incorporate our full range of services. As our company continues to grow to accommodate our customers needs, our number one priority is still your health and safety.
Giving Back to the Community
The family believes in giving back to their community through donations and support for Womens Junior League of Greenwich, American Cancer Society, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Boys and Girls Club of America, Greenwich Tree Conservancy and many other local charities. Because of the companys long legacy of excellent customer and community service, CT State Rep. Fred Camillo presented the family with a citation from the General Assembly designating October 19th, 2015 as “New England Total Energy Day.”
Emergency Service Calls
Emergency service during business hours is included with the Value Comfort Oil Plan and the Maximum Comfort Oil Plan. All other emergency service calls during and after business hours will be billed at a higher rate. Emergency service constitutes: no heat, serious fuel leaks or dangerous situations. All other regular service will be performed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Call 1.800.260.5954.
Residential Heating Oil
New England Total Energy is a full service oil company. We deliver premium heating oil to ensure your heating system runs at top efficiency. We use a sophisticated computerized system that measures your usage so we can plan ahead of your needs. It is also important to keep in mind, if anything changes with your living situation, please let us know so we can adjust your usage. We offer competitive oil rates. Home Heating, Pool, Barbecue or Generator
Propane is an efficient, low cost way to heat your home. It also can be used for heating pools, barbecues, gas fireplace, stand alone heaters or generators. New England Total Energy delivers propane, installs and leases tanks. We also partner with WESROC remote fuel monitoring system, so we can constantly track your usage.
