Solaronics Inc

3720 Lapeer Rd, Auburn Hills, Michigan, United States | Renewable Energy

In 1962, Solaronics, Inc. was founded as a U.S. manufacturer of infra-red heating products. We enjoyed a unique opportunity; the ability to identify and fulfill the needs of our customers with a still infantile infra-red technology. Working closely with engineers, contractors and owners, we helped to establish standards and guidelines for product construction, performance, operation and application.  Over the past fifty years our experience has spanned three generations. Techniques for manufacturing and applying our products and the design of our products themselves have been refined again and again in response to the needs of our customers. Our endeavors have developed a respected network of representatives and distributors, employees with the knowledge and skill to put them at the forefronts of their respective fields and thousands of satisfied customers.  In recent years we have seen infra-red technology become a preferred means of comfort heating and commercial cooking. We have established ourselves as the leader in these industries. Solaronics brand products are often selected. In addition, we are the OEM supplier of infra-red products to two of the world’s largest manufacturers of comfort heating appliances and the world’s largest manufacturer of cooking appliances.  Today and for years to come, Solaronics will continue to search for new opportunities to aid our customers. After all, it is our customers who have made us the leader in quality infra-red products.

In 1962, Solaronics, Inc. was founded as a U.S. manufacturer of infra-red heating products. We enjoyed a unique opportunity; the ability to identify and fulfill the needs of our customers with a still infantile infra-red technology. Gas fired infra-red heaters are highly efficient producers of infra-red energy that can be used in numerous heating applications. Working closely with engineers, contractors and owners, we helped to establish standards and guidelines for product construction, performance, operation and application.

Advanced Infrared Heating Technology

Solaronics gas infra-red heaters, high and low intensity, convert a high rate of their input to infra-red output. Input energy not converted into infra-red is released as convected heat. Depending on the application requirements, our heaters can be installed using direct or indirect venting. Unlike unit heaters, that allow heat to rapidly rise to the ceiling, Solaronics heaters direct their infrared heat towards the floor, where heat is invariably desired.   The difference between high and low-intensity infrared heaters is based on the operation. For example, high-intensity heater’s energy is emitted at a higher amplitude and temperature than low-intensity heaters. High-intensity heaters are also ventless. Low-intensity heaters operate at a lower temperature and may be installed with or without vent depending on the application. Both high and low infrared heaters work well in commercial and industrial applications. Low-intensity heaters may be used in residential garages. Contact us to learn more about which infrared heater is better suited for your application.  Our product lineup offers more than five decades of engineering experience and customer feedback to deliver the most efficient infra-red heaters in the industry. With the customer service provided by our staff, while working side-by-side with our dedicated distribution network throughout the country, Solaronics offers a truly unique opportunity that sets us apart from our competition.

Process Heating With A Purpose

Solaronics is a leading producer of burner systems for multiple industries.  Our dedication to the fuel burning industry has consistently led us to be recognized by industry professionals and the trade press for our advanced burner technology, ignition systems, gas/air delivery systems, and appliance design services.  Working closely with appliance manufacturers and process heating equipment customers for over 40 years, Solaronics has helped establish industry standards for product application, construction, performance, operation, and safety.   Our gas burner technology embraces both infrared and blue flame technology.  Our team can provide your company with the support needed for any fuel burning project.  If you are seeking a build-to-spec burner, or perhaps a custom-built option, Solaronics can fulfill your individual needs.  Whether you’re looking for assistance on an early proof-of-concept model, expanding to newer markets, continuous improvement, or enhancing reliability, we offer specialized services for any phase of your project.  Known in the industry for our commitment to service, quality, and advanced burner technologies, our burners are preferred over other manufacturers.  Our state-of-the-art facilities allow us flexibility to design a burner to fit your application, rather than the application changing to fit an ‘off the shelf’ burner.

Heating Efficiently and Effectively

Solaronics gas-fired infrared heaters directly heat the floor and surrounding objects. Infrared heaters are ideal for many applications because the floor and objects become warmer than the surrounding air and act as low level heat exchangers heating the air. Solaronics heaters also deliver heat directly to a person’s body and the facility’s surfaces, which reduces energy costs as a result. This type of heat is the preferred method for many types of buildings that have high bays and large influxes of cold air due to overhead doors. 2-stage operation is available based on ambient temperature variations. This eliminates excess heat when it’s not needed.  2-stage heaters are capable of fast recovery when temperatures fall.

Commercial & Industrial Infrared Tube Heaters

Solaronics infrared heaters offer an ideal solution to the many commercial and industrial applications out there. Our heaters are designed to be versatile for buildings with high or low ceilings, vast air changes per hour, overhead doors and cranes, electric and gas lines, fire suppressant systems, and the many obstacles that are present on the floor.  Clearance to combustibles must be maintained for safe and proper operation. Venting for both low and high intensity heaters may be accomplished through the building’s mechanical or natural ventilation system.  If no ventilation system is provided, low intensity heaters may require direct ventilation through a sidewall or roof.
