History

  • 2001 – Form Border to Border Exploration, LLC and BBX Operating, LLC; enter into a Property Management Agreement with Major Independent for the Williston Basin State Line Horizontal Field, North Dakota; form Border to Border #1, LP
  • 2002 – Generate the Horizontal Bakken Dolomite Prospect; acquire 20,000 net acres; form Neches II AMI with Amarado Oil Company, Inc. and others; re-acquire the Neches Propect – Tyler County, Texas; form NechesDevelopment Partnership, LP
  • 2003 – Sell Bakken Acreage and form Joint Venture with Continental Resources; drill Initial Bakken horizontal well in Montana – Goss 34-15H (insert picture?); Joint Venture with Anadarko Petroleum – Neches II area formed; 65,000-acre AMI with Anadarko Petroleum; drill Initial well in Tyler County, Texas – Mann Trust Unit; generate Ollie Prospect – Polk County, Texas; form Ollie Development Partnership, LP; generate Belts Creek, Phillips Lake Woodbine Prospects – Tyler County, Texas; Map and Scout Barnett Shale areas – Johnson County, Texas
  • 2004 – Participate in 12 wells in Montana (total expected project size – 90 wells); participate in 3 wells in Tyler County, Texas (total expected project size – 25 wells); map Bakken Play in Williston Basin, over pressured gas in Green River Basin and East Texas Deep Bossier Sand Play; acquire Belts Creek Prospect Acreage, Phillips Lake Prospect Acreage and expanded Anadarko AMI
  • 2005 – continued drilling in both the Chalk and Bakken Plays
  • 2006 – Drilled down-spaced well at Neches with outstanding results, doubling the size and scope of the prospect; down-spaced wells in Montana are successful; Ollie Prospect continues to expand.
  • 2007 – BBX Operating, LLC formed and drills and completes the McDonnold and the Bear Creek North Wells in Polk County – extending the limits of the Austin Chalk Play to the west; exited 2007 with 1,000 BO and 10,000 MCFGPD operated production; Neches increased 5,000 BO and 30,000 MCFGPD; Ollie increased to 750 BO and 8,000 MCFGPD; Montana production exited 2007 at 10,000 BOPD.
  • 2008 – Construction of the Bear Creek Pipeline; drilled the Parrish and Bear Creek Southeast wells with outstanding shows; spud the Bear Creek Southwest wells.
  • 2009 – 3-rig, multiple-lateral, Operated Drilling Program continues in East Texas. Multi-rig Non-Op drilling program continues. Deep Bossier well results in a new field discovery.
  • 2010 – Key wells drilled to extend the Austin Chalk Field – Gunter #1, #2 and Brown to the east and Davis A-388 #2, Davis-Ferland and Johns-Wilburn to the west. BBX Operating is named in the top 100 Private Producers in the U.S. by the Oil and Gas Financial Journal/HIS Herold, Inc. Closed $150,000,000 credit facility with GE Capital Energy Financial Services.
  • 2011 – Drilling ahead using multiple rigs. BBX Operating achieved peak production rates of over 3,000 BO and 48,000 MCFGPD in early April.

Polaris Pipeline Information

Polaris Pipeline Systems, LLC is the company responsible for the construction and maintenance of a series of natural gas gathering lines in East Texas. The lines gather gas from wells that have been drilled by BBX Operating. Most of the lines are 8” in diameter and have been built in the past few years to exacting industry specifications.
