Major Energy, based in Rockland County NY is one of the most highly regarded retail energy suppliers of natural gas & electricity. We serve residential and commercial customers in six states and more than 40 Utility Service Areas. We operate as Major Energy in Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and New York. We operate as Respond Power and Major Energy in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

• 2005 Major Energy founded, servicing the business and residential markets in the utilities of Orange & Rockland and Con Ed with natural gas service
• 2009 Major Energy sold to current ownership September, 2009 - Major Energy now services natural gas to all utility service areas in New York State
• 2010 Major Energy introduces electricity service to New York April, 2010 - Natural gas service introduced to Pennsylvania December, 2010 - Electricity service introduced into Pennsylvania
• 2011 April, 2011 - Major Energy introduces Respond Power Rewards in Pennsylvania utility of PPL. Groundbreaking program allows customers to take advantage of Smart Meters and earn rebates.
• 2012 Service begins in New Jersey, Illinois and Maryland
• 2014 Service begins in Massachusetts

Our Products and Services

Major Energy Services offers a number of competitive energy products designed to meet the requirements of our residential and business customers.

• Variable-Rate Plan: This plan provides maximum flexibility. Participants in this plan benefit from our energy market expertise and our wholesale buying capabilities. With this choice, the variable rate changes monthly based on market conditions while customers maintain the ability to lock in a fixed rate at any time.
• Fixed-Rate Plan: This plan protects against rising energy costs and market volatility. Customers receive long-term price certainty for the full duration of their contract.
• Index Plans: These plans are market based with rates that are calculated using published wholesale prices. An Index Plan will vary monthly, but at the customers request, can be converted to a Fixed-Rate Plan at any time during the term of the agreement.
