Since Sam Gary Jr. founded the organization in 1980, SGA has acquired, explored for, developed and produced crude oil and natural gas reserves throughout North America. Offering extensive operating expertise, the SGA management team has consistently produced numerous successful ventures over the past 35 years. Management Team

• Samuel Gary Jr. founded Samuel Gary Jr. & Associates, Inc. in 1980 as a private oil and gas exploration company. Sam graduated with a bachelor of science in geology from the University of Colorado, and then began his career as a geologist with Standard Oil of Ohio.
• In June 1987 Craig Ambler joined Sam at SGA. Craig graduated with a bachelor of business studies in mineral land management and finance from the University of Colorado. Craig held various property development and management positions for Petro-Lewis Corporation, as well as Cox Oil and Gas, prior to joining Samuel Gary Jr. & Associates.
• In 2009 Lonnie Brock joined Samuel Gary Jr. & Associates with more than 25 years of related experience. Prior to joining SGA, he served at the board level and as CFO for other Denver-based oil and gas companies: Western Gas Resources, Gerrity Oil & Gas, Double Eagle Petroleum and Teton Energy. After graduating with a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Eastern Illinois University, Lonnie began his career with Price Waterhouse, and is a CPA and CGMA.
