Powderhorn Reserve, LLC is a private, land acquisition company based in Dallas, Texas. We have been in the natural resources industry for over a decade, and we have bought or leased interests covering over 245,000 acres located in 13 states and over 120 counties. We have done business with thousands of owners all across the United States of America.

Minerals Rights 

Powderhorn Reserve, LLC primarily buys producing oil and gas minerals, royalties and overriding royalties. We specialize in Texas mineral rights and Oklahoma mineral rights, but we will evaluate producing oil and gas royalties in any state or basin. No royalty check is too large; no mineral interest is too small.  We have purchased mineral rights and royalties from energy companies, professional owners, non-profits, trusts, families, heirs, and individuals. And unlike most mineral buyers, we do not have a specific geographic buy area, capital mandate, or investment time horizon.  We are just looking for a fair deal.

Raw Land

  Powderhorn Reserve, LLC buys raw land too. Primarily focused in the southern and southwestern United States, we purchase large and small tracts, from a half acre home lot to a full 640 acre section, and we would be happy to evaluate your land.  We buy rural, unimproved lands that are uninhabited and are not used for farming or agriculture. We typically do not buy lands with homes, buildings, or other significant structures, but we do acquire undeveloped home lots. We love recreational and 'off the grid' properties, as well as timberlands and lands that are used for livestock grazing or natural resource exploration.

The Sales Process

The sales process is fast and simple. We will sign the sales contract electronically via email, and you will sign the deed online, or we can arrange for a notary public to meet you at your home or office. With most transactions, youll be paid in 2-4 weeks.

• Robert manages our evaluations and acquisitions. Prior to his current roles in the natural resources industry, Robert was a comptoller for a commercial construction group and a litigation consultant. Robert graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting and a Master of Science Degree in Accounting.
• Bethany manages our title due diligence and closings. Prior to her current role at Powderhorn Reserve, LLC, Bethany was a corporate litigator. Bethany graduated from the University of Texas-Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Pepperdine School of Law.
