Energy Auditing

energy-auditing-big-island An energy audit involves the installation of an electrical load meter, which measures real-time energy usage. This data can then be used to design a system specific to the needs of the home or business. In addition to PV solar design, this can help to understand energy loads to best design efficiency upgrades for the property. 

Design and Engineering

Renewable Energy Services, Inc (RES) has the experience to create high-quality solar energy system designs, from high capacity commercial systems, to small off-grid installations. Clients can consult with RES to design and engineer a system for multiple solar contractors to bid on or to install themselves.

Energy Savings

The graph to the left is an example of energy loads in contrast to solar production for a business which has opening hours during the daytime. This data was gathered from a client of ours. ​ Due to the high volume of activity during the daytime, the solar panels are able to provide most of the businesses energy needs. Extra solar production can be sold to HELCO for energy credit, or stored if batteries are installed.
