At Owensboro Grain, we produce a vast array of products from soybeans, at our plant locations on the Ohio River in Western Kentucky. Our soy products include protein meal and hull pellets for animal feeds, crude and degummed oil, lecithin, various blends of refined vegetable oil for human consumption, biodiesel, glycerin, and industrial waxes.

Edible Oils

Since 1995, the refining complex, strategically located on a 75 acre site next to the Ohio River, is capable of delivering a wide variety of liquid and hydrogenated soybean oils by truck, rail or barge. Oil from our complex is used in the food industry for baking and food processing, and for industrial products such as paint, plastic and ink. Our goal is to produce the highest-quality edible oils possible under the most favorable ecological and environmentally sound conditions that minimize waste products.

Biofuels

Owensboro Grain began refining biodiesel in 2008 and have the ability to produce 45 million gallons per year. Our ability to deliver quality biodiesel from America’s heartland is a natural evolution. Our goal is to produce the highest quality biodiesel possible under the most favorable ecologically and environmentally sound conditions that minimize waste products.

Crushing

Owensboro Grain, founded in 1906, operates multiple grain elevators in Owensboro, Kentucky, and a soybean processing plant in Owensboro.  Our highly skilled team of employees use state-of-the-art processes to crush more than 100,000 bushels of soybeans daily, necessitating the procurement of soybeans from multiple states.
