X-energy is a nuclear reactor & fuel design engineering company. We develop Generation IV high-temp gas cooled nuclear reactors & the TRISO-X fuel to power them.X-energy is developing Generation IV high temperature gas-cooled reactors and the fuel to power these reactors.   Our innovative solution will deliver energy that is clean, safe, secure and affordable. Founded in 2009 by Dr. Kam Ghaffarian, X-energy is developing high-temperature gas-cooled pebble-bed nuclear reactors that are smaller, simpler and meltdown-proof when compared to conventional nuclear designs.   X-energy's reactors will expand nuclear power into entirely new markets. The company objective is to incorporate innovative design features with the goal of building a game-changing, small-scale nuclear energy source that can be adapted to a variety of markets. Our reactors will be a disruptive technology to the global power generating market because it produces zero emissions, provides for size flexibility, can serve nontraditional markets such as process heat, and is economically attractive.   We believe the world is facing a serious energy crisis and needs a reliable energy source for industrial, residential and national security use that produces zero-emission energy. Trends indicate distributed power generation and clean energy solutions will become critical in the future of both developed and developing economies. Our reactors will provide for energy security, environmental security, national security, economic security, industrial security and infrastructure security.
