Streat Fuel & Storage has served the greater Flint community since 1939, supplying residents with propane, fuel oil, and coal.  Originally started as an ice house, Streat Stoker  & Ice was a Flint staple for decades before expanding to include fuel oil and home delivery service.  Decades later, the company grew to include a propane distribution center, and began serving residents throughout Flint’s surrounding communities.  Today, Streat Fuel and Storage continues to provide an array of services that no other business in Genesee county can provide.  Proprietor George Streat is always on hand to answer any question, and his staff is on call to provide you with the kind of customer service that sets Streat Fuel and Storage apart from therest 

Our Services

Streat Fuel & Storage offers the best customer service and the lowest prices anywhere in Genesee county.  For a run down of the services we provide, please read the descriptions below.  If you’re interested in a project not listed here, please call us and one of our representatives will be happy to assist you.

• Grill tanks, RV propane, fork truck cylinders and specialty tanks: we fill them all.  We measure our tanks by weight and by gallons to ensure complete fill ups every time. Need a new tank?  We carry a wide variety of new and used tanks for gas grills, garage heaters, fork lifts, and more.  We’re also able to recertify old tanks with new, safe, OPD-compliant valves.
• We can solve any commercial-grade problem you have.  We offer a Keep-Fill exchange program for fork truck cylinders; on-site propane & heater supply for commercial construction jobs.
• Our 22,000 sq ft. storage facility features units of all sizes, able to accommodate any storage need.  With specials running all the time, call or come in to see our wide selection.  Our current sizes are 5×10, 10×20, 10×30, 12×32.  Our largest units have 12 ft. tall doors and are perfect for housing large boats, automobiles and RVs.  Our lighted facilities feature 24-hour availability with personalized key-card access.  The paved grounds are accessed through our fully automated entry gate, and units are also under 24-hour video surveillance to ensure your items are protected. Trailer rental and moving assistance is also available.
• Streat Fuel and Storage is a certified Weigh Master.  Bring your trailers, cars, RVs, or anything else you have and we will weigh it.  Our weight slips are stamped, signed, and fully accepted at the Secretary of State.
• We stock 11o Octane race fuel for your hot rod  all year round as well as off road diesel for farm equipment and K1 kerosene.  Bring in your own cans or buy drums from us.  We also have fuel transfer pumps available for rent.
