Landmark Solar

History :

The Landmark brand is nothing new to people in the Midwest, who have come to know and trust our company and our team.

In 1976 Steve Sutter started Sutter Heating and Electric in Taylor, Missouri. The idea was simple, help local farmers with their electric needs. In 1990 an opportunity arose to become an irrigation dealer for the Valley center pivot brand, servicing clients in Northern Missouri, West Central Illinois, and Southeastern Iowa.

1991 brought another development as the company expanded their services and began the installation of systematic drain tile. In 1992, the company incorporated as Sutter Electric, Inc. and in the fall of 1997 began operating as Landmark Irrigation. In 2007, Clinton joined the company as a General Manager and in 2011 Craig joined the company as a Project Manager. The growth of our company wasn’t just in personnel, but in service area as well. In 2013 an opportunity arose to expand operations and we opened our Muscatine, Iowa office.

In 2018 Landmark saw another opportunity to be at the forefront of the industry and became an authorized dealer for Sunpower and thus, Landmark Solar was born.
