Bruce Fuels has seen a lot of changes in the environmental services industry since 1927, not to mention the name of the industry itself! With each change we have managed our operations in such a way that these changes become enhancements to our business, and therefore to you, our customer.  From humble beginnings as a coal merchant, to our current position as a leading heating, air conditioning and lubricants specialist, Bruce has met each challenge head on. We use state of the art computer systems to keep ahead of oil and lubricant price fluctuations. We buy when the time is right, and pass the savings on to you.  Above and beyond the obvious, Bruce Fuels can not only supply your home or business with heating oil, but we can also sell and service both heating and air conditioning equipment. Our partnership with Chevron allows us to supply only the best quality lubricants that you both expect and need for your heavy equipment and transportation fleet. 

History

The story of Bruce Fuels is as much a story about Ottawa as it is about our company. Bruce Fuels has it's roots planted firmly in this region's growth between the two world wars. Originally a coal merchant, Reg Bruce began building a small empire based on the belief that if he were an active member of the Ottawa community, that he would in turn be rewarded for his efforts.  As a testiment to his hard work, Both a conservation area and a residential community in Ottawa's west end bear his name. At one time Reg Bruce's holdings included hotels, restaurants, construction assets and of course the backbone of his business, Bruce Fuels. As time passed and the economic landscape changed, Reg shed most of his companies to concentrate on fuel. After retirement, the business was run by son in law Grant McDonald, and is now under the capable management of Grandson Reid McDonald.

Todays Company

Today's Bruce Fuels runs on the same beliefs on which it was founded 75 years ago. We strive to provide the very best in both products and services. Likewise, we are still a community oriented company, sponsoring various activities throughout the region.  The year 2002 represents our 75th anniversary as a member of the Ottawa community. While an orange and green cake may not sound too appetizing, we would still like to thank all our customers both past and present. Current clients can expect the best in products and services delivered 24/7 by one of our trained technicians. Of course our state of the art fleet of trucks is there to back them up 100% of the way.  Our commitment to your satisfaction can also be seen in our software systems and data collection methods.
