Paleo Resources, Inc.’s origins date back to 1945. Originally organized as a mining company in 1945, it was known between 1945 and 2013 as MGold Resources Inc., Mengold Resources Inc. and Menora Resources Inc. In 2013, the company changed its focus to oil and gas exploration. It was then continued as an Alberta corporation on July 25, 2013 and changed its name to Tanager Energy Inc. The company made its first oil and gas acquisition in 2014 in the Joffre field located in Alberta, Canada. In June 2016, the company made its entry into the US with its Polk County Texas acquisition for US$8 million, drilling 5 successful Yegua formation wells in Polk County, Texas in 2017. In 2019, it completed its best in-class CEO recruitment, continued as a British Columbia corporation and changed its name to Paleo Resources, Inc.
