Founded in 1950 by William E. Curtis and Jean H. Curtis as a home heat and farming supplier Curtis Oil Company built it's first station in 1971. The family run Marathon distributorship now covers the area between Chesterfield, SC to Bennettsville, SC with additonal dealers in Rockingham, NC and Cassatt, SC. Sons Dennis and Douglas are now in charge of the day to day fueling operations with grandaughter Amanda helming the office. In additon to the Marathon retail locations, Curtis Oil Comany, also specializes in selling wholesale fuel products to a variety of commercial customers and transports its own deliveries.
