Mustang Fuel Corporation is a privately held company headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, along with its subsidiaries Mustang Gas Products, LLC, and Mustang Fuel Marketing Company. Mustang’s operations include oil and gas exploration and production, natural gas gathering and processing, and natural gas marketing.
Established as Westoc Oil & Gas Company in 1949 by E.C. Joullian II, Mustang entered the pipeline business to supply natural gas to an electric generating station near Mustang, Oklahoma. During the next six decades, we evolved as one of the Mid-continent’s leading independent oil and gas companies.
We began our exploration and production efforts in 1971 with a successful well completion in LeFlore County, Oklahoma. Since then, we have participated in thousands of wells across several states and are the current operator of over 550 properties. We also own non-operated interests in more than 1,100 other properties and control more than 100,000 net acres of undeveloped leasehold in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.
Mustang Fuel Marketing Company was formed in 1990 as a marketing subsidiary of Mustang Fuel Corporation. We have become one of the most recognized gas marketing companies in the Mid-Continent by providing personal service and competitive pricing to many independent gas producers, with a focus on the Oklahoma Intrastate pipelines. We offer our customers first purchaser expertise in all aspects of gas marketing from wellhead to burner-tip, including flexible pricing, severance tax remittal, gas control, contract administration and risk management.
In 2002, we acquired gas gathering and processing assets covering producing areas in ten Oklahoma counties. These assets were combined with our existing Spring Valley System in North Central Oklahoma to form Mustang Gas Products, LLC, a subsidiary of Mustang Fuel Corporation.
