Westin Air Heating And Cooling

Westin Air, LLC is owned and operated by two longtime friends who grew up together. They became friends in high school and have been friends ever since. They have worked in the HVAC industry for years and often at the same company. After years of gathering varies HVAC work experience, they decided to start their own company. For a few years they worked out of their Westerville garage doing whatever it took to grow their clientele. After a couple years, the garage became too small and they moved to a larger office with a larger shop in Westerville.  Justin Peters was a high school student at Westerville South when he met Wes’s younger brother. The three boys became fast friends. Wesley Shankland graduated high school from Tree of Life in 1995. His neighbor owned his own HVAC Company and instantly hired Wes. Justin graduated high school in 1997 and called Wes up to tell him he planned to go to school at Southeast Career Center for carpentry. Wes quickly talked him out of the carpentry program into the HVAC program. In 2000 Justin received his HVAC degree from southeast Career Center. In 2000 Wes received his HVAC degree from American School of Technology.

The Beginning of Westin Air

Wes and Justin worked throughout the industry for various companies, gathering more knowledge and experience as they went. They worked in new construction where they learned about airflow and ductwork. They worked together on replacement jobs where they learned how to install replacement equipment. They worked in service on residential, commercial, and industrial equipment. Between Justin and Wes, they have worked in all departments of HVAC and at times, for the same company in different departments. On October 19, 2005, Wes received his HVAC Contractors License and Westin Air, LLC was born. Westin Air conceived its name from a combination of Wes and Justin.
