I’ve always been an Earth conscious person as far back as I can remember. There came a time when I realized that just changing out my lightbulbs and doing retrofits to be more energy efficient was not going to have an impact on the scale I wanted to see.Over time my vision kept on increasing until I realized what could be done to create the most impact for our energy needs here in Saskatchewan. A lot of solar! and just so happens we have the best solar resource in Canada. That’s when I founded Roots Rock Solar in 2011. With a vision of creating a sustainable energy future in the province and help make us a sustainable energy leader in Canada. Now the challenge begins to make this happen.  We are busy and doing our best to get policies in place to make this vision a reality. We deserve it, our future children deserve it and our planet deserves it. Clean, Sustainable energy for all! There’s a brighter future out there!

Increasing economies of scale and technological advancements allow your average home to cover their energy use for approximately $17,500.  Based on a conservative lifespan of 25 years (most panels have a usable lifespan of 33 years) your energy costs in Saskatoon are 14.5 cents/kwh, which is higher than the current kwh cost in Saskatchewan of 13.2 cents.
