Run by the Sun Ltd specialise in the design, install and service of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for homes, businesses, community groups and off-grid locations. With headquarters in Leicester, we work mainly in Leicestershire and the Midlands, although commercial contracts sometimes take us further afield.

Having worked with PV solar power systems since the early nineties, Simon designed and installed his first grid connected energy system in 2003, before establishing Run by the Sun Ltd in 2007. We are a small, friendly, family run business based in Leicester who specialise in the design, installation and service of quality PV solar systems.

This knowledge runs through the company – after 7 years it’s still the same team that assists Simon with every installation. This continuity also runs through to using long, reliable suppliers and premium products from well known brands, for whom we are also trusted to work as sub-contractors.

From the very first point of contact, Run by the Sun Ltd prides itself in putting the customer first. Our superior knowledge and experience allows us to design efficient solar systems for even the most awkward of roofs. We also have experience of installing solar panel systems with shading or orientation issues that many other solar companies walk away from.
