Our History

B&J Welding Supply was founded in 1977 by Bob Jones in Lamesa, Texas. After his passing in November of 1998, his son, Jason Jones, assumed ownership. In 2004, the Snyder location was established, and four years later, the Amarillo site opened. With the opening of our Lubbock location in the fall of 2011, we have created an in-house cylinder fill facility.

B&J Welding Supply LTD is one of two locally owned welding supply companies in this area, and the only company with multiple locations. We are the largest independent welding supply company from Albuquerque to Dallas. Of those, we are the only one to control our costs with the ability to purchase bulk gases and repackage them.  Through our expansions, we possess the ability to react to our customers’ needs with local service; this, coupled with our significant business footprint, has allowed the good fortune of growth upwards of 30% for three consecutive years.

We provide gases for almost countless applications, from the 'weekend warrior' working in their garage shop to major heavy-industrial construction and engineering companies.  Our cylinder facility in Lubbock can fill oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and helium. We will also blend our own industrial welding mixes making B&J Welding Supply your “one stop shop” for all of your welding needs. Of course, our blended gases meet IWDC standards for accuracy.
