Solaflair

Solaflair was established by Rob Worthy in 2006, a family-run business originally based in Oxfordshire, now to be found in Dumfries & Galloway based just outside the beautiful town of Moffat.

 

In the early days Solaflair carried out domestic gas boiler/central heating installations and MCS accredited renewable energy installation services until changes to the government Feed in Tariffs and the subsequent down turn of domestic Solar PV (photovoltaic) and Solar Thermal.

 

We no longer carry out renewable installations under MCS or RHI however alongside our traditional Gas Boiler and Central Heating installation/service and maintenance work, we use our expertise in the field and offer service and maintenance for Solar PV, Solar Thermal and Heat Pumps.

Rob has worked in the gas industry for 40 years plus but has always had an interest in alternative energy. In the 70’s and 80’s he held the view – which was ahead of his time – that it is neither viable nor environmentally-friendly to continue to use fossil fuels. Rob could see a future in renewable energy which comes from resources which are continually replenished such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides and waves.

 

Rob keeps himself continuously updated on industry changes and standards. His skill and expertise is in bringing an in-depth and current knowledge of the heating and renewables sector to the customer’s door.
