Eagle Mountain Energy Partners (“EMEP”) is a private, Houston-based exploration and production company focused on the acquisition and development of oil-weighted opportunities, primarily in the Williston Basin and other select oil-weighted basins.

EMEP’s strategy is to acquire low-risk, long-lived producing assets with development upside, which allows the team to lever its substantial operational capabilities. We take pride in being good stewards of producing properties over time through prudent operations and non-negotiable standards on environmental, health and safety policies.

We established EMEP with the understanding that long-term value creation in the upstream sector can be achieved in any environment. EMEP was co-founded in 2020 by Eric Pregler, Shaleen Patel and Michael DeKruif, all of whom have extensive experience in the upstream sector through senior roles with E&P companies and energy-focused financial institutions. EMEP has also partnered with best-in-class financial sponsors – Pearl Energy Investments (“Pearl”) and NGP – who have provided equity commitments to support the growth of the company.
