Østfold Energi was started to provide more electricity to the county. Today, we produce renewable energy for a world that needs it, and provide long-term value to our owners and the communities we are engaged in.
Hydropower is an important resource in Norway, and also for Østfold Energi. 95 percent of our energy production comes from hydropower from the ten power plants we own in Indre Sogn, Østfold and Nordland. We also have six district heating plants in Østfold, and are part owners of a wind farm in Western Norway.
At the same time, we work actively with business development and innovation to create new income in the green shift. We believe in major changes and technological opportunities in the future renewable energy market, and we want to be a part of this development.
Østfold Energi manages both large natural resources and financial assets. The consideration for nature, climate and the society we are a part of, permeates everything we do. This is what we call pure sustainability.
