Aemetis BioFuels

Aemetis owns and operates a 60 million gallon per year renewable ethanol production facility in Keyes, California. As a byproduct of ethanol production at the Keyes plant, more than 400,000 tons per year of wet distillers grains (WDG) are produced and shipped throughout Califonia’s Central Valley as animal feed for dairies and feedlots.  The Keyes plant is a leader in environmentally responsible ethanol production with positive energy balance and zero water discharge. In addition, the plant’s combined heat and power (CHP) steam turbine unit generates all of the operating electric needs of the plant, eliminating dependence on the state’s electrical grid.
