Samphire was formed in 2011, although trading did not commence until early 2012. The company was established to be a market leading provider of services to the subsea industry sector with particular focus on operated assets in mature basins.

The initial focus was on the development of a general operations capability which was extended across several clients through 2012. After successfully securing frame contracts from several mid-tier operators in early 2013, a controls capability was added. The brownfield project capability evolved in late 2013 out of the desire to explore synergies with the operations support capability to better balance the resource look ahead and planning. This also enabled greater efficiencies to be achieved in the execute phase across the wider operations area.

The integrity management support capability was developed in 2014 through the engagement of the right senior resources. This provided the springboard to commence delivery of a fully integrated subsea operations capability.
