Michigan South Central, Utility Resource Solutions is an organization formed to acquire and operate economical power projects for the benefit of its five member communities: Clinton, Coldwater, Hillsdale, Marshall and Union City.

Renewable Resources 

MSCPA is committed to utilizing renewable energy resources and has developed plans to meet the state of Michigan’s Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS), through a combination of generation projects. The Agency’s renewable generation assets include multiple hydro generation facilities as well as the revolutionary use of Fractionated Tire Fuel.  Hydro will lead the way as MSCPA’s primary renewable energy resource. By 2015, the Agency will be receiving power from nine different hydro generating facilities. Two of which have been incorporated in our members power supply for over 100 years. These ventures will together yield enough power to supply the annual electricity needs of over 20,000 homes.
