Midwest Gas

Robert and Ruth Greene began Midwest Gas in 1945 out of their Highland Heights home with only one customer. While Ruth took care of the office work, Robert did everything else.  about us  After Robert sadly passed away in 1955, Ruth took over Midwest Gas, deciding not to sell the business after a salesman dismissed her efforts. Fired up to succeed, Ruth became a rare female business owner in the field. Her determination, and her commitment to outstanding service, helped turn Midwest Gas into northern Kentucky’s leader in propane services. She remained involved in the business until her death in 2009.  Today, the descendants of Robert and Ruth continue the tradition of quality service, reliable propane delivery, and fair and transparent pricing. Midwest Gas has expanded its service area from Northern Kentucky into the Greater Cincinnati area.  That commitment to service is demonstrated in this website, where we help our customers manage their accounts, request service and stay informed through our regular blog posts.
