We are a local family owned and operated company. Chilton Oil is a proud member of each community that we serve and support local organizations and charities in each of our service areas. Our company is based on a firm foundation of great people, serving great customers. Chilton Oil Company was founded by Stanley and Sherry Chilton in 1959.  Chilton Oil Company continues to be a family owned and operated propane provider and propane transport company.  The company is owned and operated by Jeff and Tammy Sellers.  Founder Stanley Chilton passed in 2010.  Chilton Oil Company has expanded it's service area since 1959. Our Service area includes but  not limited to the Salem, Steelville, Viburnum, Bunker, Licking, Houston, Cabool, Mtn. Grove and Ironton areas.  Whether you are a large volume commercial customer requiring propane transport loads, a 100# bottle user, or somewhere in between, Chilton Oil Company can meet your propane needs.  In 2019 the Sellers' purchased a diesel truck and trailer repair shop, A&A Truck and Trailer Repair in Salem, MO.  Chilton Oil is a proud member of each community we serve. Chilton Oil supports local Chamber of Commerce, FFA and 4-H, Rodeo’s, Parades, Fairs, Veteran Programs, various school and community organizations in each of our service areas.
