Braskem

Created in August 2002 through the integration of six companies from the Odebrecht Group and the Mariani Group, Braskem is today the largest producer of thermoplastic resins in the Americas  and the largest producer of polypropylene in the United States. Its production is focused on polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins, in addition to basic chemical inputs such as ethylene, propene, butadiene, benzene, toluene, chlorine, soda and solvents, among others. Together, they make up one of the most complete portfolios on the market, as they also include green polyethylene, produced from sugarcane, 100% renewable. Braskem is part of the chemical and petrochemical sector, which plays a relevant role in numerous production chains and is essential for economic development. In this context, chemistry and plastic contribute to creating sustainable solutions for improving people's lives in sectors such as housing, food and mobility.
